You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like a potter’s vessel.’”

For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire, And the greedy man curses and spurns Yahweh.

Yahweh is in His holy temple; Yahweh’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill all your counsel!

You have given him his heart’s desire, And You have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

Yet You are He who brought me out of the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.

Upon You I was cast from birth; You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

For the kingdom is Yahweh’s And He rules over the nations.

He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

The earth is Yahweh’s, as well as its fullness, The world, and those who dwell in it.

For Your name’s sake, O Yahweh, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

For You are my high rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.

Your arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under You; Your arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies.

Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father’s house;

The King’s daughter is all glorious within her chamber; Her clothing is interwoven with gold.

They will be led forth with gladness and rejoicing; They will enter into the King’s palace.

You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.

You will add days to the king’s life; His years will be from generation to generation.

I have become estranged from my brothers And a foreigner to my mother’s sons.

By You I have been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb; My praise is continually of You.

O God, give the king Your judgments, And Your righteousness to the king’s son.

For one’s rising up does not come from the east, nor from the west, And not from the desert;

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us and atone for our sins for Your name’s sake.

But the lovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,

He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for man’s cultivation, To bring forth food from the earth,

And wine which makes man’s heart glad, To make his face glisten more than oil, And food which sustains man’s heart.

Where the birds build their nests, The stork’s home is in the fir trees.

But as for You, O Yahweh, O Lord, deal with me for Your name’s sake; Because Your lovingkindness is good, deliver me;

Their idols are silver and gold, The work of man’s hands.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Indeed, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!

Remember, O Yahweh, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;

It is like the good oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Aaron’s beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes.
