Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away.

And a man who had been lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they used to set down daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple.

And while he was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the portico called Solomon’s, full of wonder.

and kept back some of the price for himself, with his wife’s full knowledge. And bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Now at the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were happening among the people, and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Portico.

saying, “We strictly commanded you not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”

And on the second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph’s family was disclosed to Pharaoh.

It was at this time that Moses was born, and he was lovely in the sight of God, and he was nurtured three months in his father’s home.

And after he had been set outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him away and nurtured him as her own son.

Now while Peter was greatly perplexed in mind as to what the vision which he had seen might be, behold, the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having asked directions for Simon’s house, appeared at the gate;

And the Spirit told me to go with them without taking issue at all. These six brothers also went with me and we entered the man’s house.

Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could prevent God’s way?”

And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him up, saying, “Rise up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands.

And when she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate. But she ran in and reported that Peter was standing in front of the gate.

Now he was very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; and with one accord they came to him, and having won over Blastus the king’s chamberlain, they were asking for peace, because their country was fed by the king’s country.

“Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the word of this salvation was sent.

And at Lystra a man was sitting who had no strength in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.

And suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the jailhouse were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.

And according to Paul’s custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” And they said, “Into John’s baptism.”

And the city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia.

For indeed we are in danger of being accused of a riot in connection with today’s events, since there is no cause for which we can give as an account for this disorderly gathering.”

I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or clothes.

And they began to weep aloud and falling on Paul’s neck, they were kissing him,

And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

But when the son of Paul’s sister heard of their ambush, he came and entered the barracks and reported it to Paul.

he said, “I will give you a hearing after your accusers arrive also,” giving orders for him to be kept in Herod’s Praetorium.

But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be tried. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know.
