The Jerusalem Council

15^aSome men came down from Judea and began teaching ^bthe brothers, “Unless you are ^ccircumcised according to ^dthe custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

⁵But some of ^athe sect of the ^bPharisees who had believed stood up, saying, “It is necessary to ^ccircumcise them and to command them to keep the Law of Moses.”

²¹and they have been told about you, that you are ^ateaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them ^bnot to circumcise their children nor to ¹walk according to ^cthe customs.

²Behold I, ^aPaul, say to you that if you receive ^bcircumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.

³And I ^atestify again to every man who receives ^bcircumcision, that he is under obligation to ^ckeep the whole Law.
