Obadiah 5-9
5“If athieves came to you,If 1robbers by night—Oh how you will be ruined!—Would they not thieve only 2until they had enough?If grape gatherers came to you,bWould they not allow some gleanings to remain?6“Oh how Esau will be asearched outAnd his hidden treasures ransacked!7“All the amen who have 1a covenant with youWill send you forth to the border,And the men at peace with youWill deceive you and overpower you.They who eat your bbreadWill set an ambush for you.(There is cno discernment 2in him.)8“Will I not on that day,” declares Yahweh,“aCause the wise men to perish from EdomAnd discernment from the mountain of Esau?9“Then your amighty men will be dismayed, O bTeman,So that each one may be ccut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
