Ascribe to Yahweh Glory and Strength

96^aSing to Yahweh a ^bnew song;Sing to Yahweh, all the earth.²Sing to Yahweh, bless His name;^aProclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.³Recount ^aHis glory among the nations,His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.⁴For ^agreat is Yahweh and ^bgreatly to be praised;He is ¹more ²^,^cfearsome ^dthan all gods.⁵For ^aall the gods of the peoples are ¹idols,But ^bYahweh made the heavens.⁶^aSplendor and majesty are before Him,Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.⁷¹Ascribe to Yahweh, O ^afamilies of the peoples,²^,^bAscribe to Yahweh glory and strength.⁸Ascribe to Yahweh the ^aglory of His name;Lift up ¹an ^boffering and come into His courts.⁹^aWorship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness;^bTremble before Him, all the earth.¹⁰Say among the nations, “^aYahweh ¹reigns;Indeed, the ^bworld is established, it will not be shaken;He will ^crender justice to the peoples with ²equity.”¹¹Let the ^aheavens be glad, and let the ^bearth rejoice;Let ^cthe sea ¹roar, as well as its fullness;¹²Let the ^afield exult, and all that is in it.Then all the ^btrees of the forest will sing for joy¹³Before Yahweh, ^afor He is coming,For He is coming to judge the earth.^bHe will judge the world in righteousnessAnd the peoples in His faithfulness.

Remember His Wondrous Deeds

105Oh ^agive thanks to Yahweh, ^bcall upon His name;^cMake known His acts among the peoples.²Sing to Him, ^asing praises to Him;^bMuse on all His wondrous deeds.³Boast in His holy name;Let the ^aheart of those who seek Yahweh be glad.⁴Inquire of Yahweh and ^aHis strength;^bSeek His face continually.⁵Remember His ^awondrous deeds which He has done,His miracles and the ^bjudgments ¹uttered by His mouth,⁶O seed of ^aAbraham, His servant,O sons of ^bJacob, His ^cchosen ones!⁷He is Yahweh our God;His ^ajudgments are in all the earth.⁸He has ^aremembered His covenant forever,The word which He commanded for a ^bthousand generations,⁹^aWhich He cut with Abraham,And His ^boath to Isaac.¹⁰Then He ^aconfirmed it to Jacob for a statute,To Israel as an everlasting covenant,¹¹Saying, “^aTo you I will give the land of CanaanAs the ¹^,^bportion of your inheritance,”¹²When they were only a ^afew men in number,Of little account, and ^bsojourners in it.¹³And they wandered about from nation to nation,From one kingdom to another people.¹⁴He ^apermitted no man to oppress them,And He ^breproved kings for their sakes:¹⁵“^aDo not touch My anointed ones,And to My prophets do no evil.”¹⁶And He ^acalled for a famine upon the land;He ^bbroke the whole staff of bread.¹⁷He ^asent a man before them,Joseph, who was ^bsold as a slave.¹⁸They afflicted his ^afeet with fetters,¹He himself was laid in irons;¹⁹Until the time that his ^aword came to pass,The word of Yahweh ^brefined him.²⁰The ^aking sent and released him,The ruler of peoples sent and set him free.²¹He ^aset him up as lord of his houseAnd ruler over all his possessions,²²To ¹imprison his princes ²^,^aat will,And that he might teach his elders wisdom.²³^aThen Israel came to Egypt;And Jacob ^bsojourned in the land of Ham.²⁴And He ^acaused His people to be very fruitful,And He caused them to be stronger than their adversaries.²⁵He ^aturned their heart to hate His people,To ^bdeal craftily with His slaves.²⁶He ^asent Moses His servant,And ^bAaron, whom He had chosen.²⁷They ^aset forth the words of His signs among them,And miracles in the land of Ham.²⁸He ^asent darkness and made it dark;And they did not ^brebel against His words.²⁹He ^aturned their waters into bloodAnd caused their fish to die.³⁰Their land swarmed with ^afrogsEven in the ^bchambers of their kings.³¹He spoke, and there came a ^aswarm of fliesAnd ^bgnats in all their territory.³²He ¹gave them ^ahail for rain,And flaming fire in their land.³³He also ^astruck down their vines and their fig trees,And He shattered the trees of their territory.³⁴He spoke, and ^alocusts came,And creeping locusts, without number,³⁵And ¹they ate up all vegetation in their land,And ²they ate up the fruit of their ground.³⁶He also ^astruck down all the firstborn in their land,The ^bfirst of all their vigor.³⁷Then He brought them out with ^asilver and gold,And there was none among His tribes who stumbled.³⁸Egypt was ^aglad when they went out,For the ^bdread of them had fallen upon them.³⁹He spread a ^acloud for a ¹covering,And ^bfire to give light by night.⁴⁰¹They ^aasked, and He brought ^bquail,And He satisfied them with the ²^,^cbread of heaven.⁴¹He opened the ¹rock and ^awater flowed out;²It ran in the dry places like a river.⁴²For He ^aremembered His holy wordWith Abraham His servant;⁴³And He brought His people out with joy,His chosen ones with a shout of ^ajoy.⁴⁴He ^agave them also the lands of the ¹nations,That they ^bmight take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,⁴⁵So that they might ^akeep His statutesAnd observe His laws,¹Praise Yah!

⁷Then on that day David ^afirst assigned ¹Asaph and his ²relatives to give thanks to Yahweh.

⁸^aOh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name;^bMake known His acts among the peoples.⁹Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;Muse on all His wondrous deeds.¹⁰Boast in His holy name;Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh be glad.¹¹^aInquire of Yahweh and His strength;Seek His face continually.¹²^aRemember His wondrous deeds which He has done,^bHis miraculous signs and the judgments uttered by His mouth,¹³O seed of Israel His servant,O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!¹⁴He is Yahweh our God;^aHis judgments are in all the earth.¹⁵Remember His covenant forever,The word which He commanded for a thousand generations,¹⁶^aWhich He cut with Abraham,And His oath to Isaac.¹⁷^aThen He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,To Israel as an everlasting covenant,¹⁸Saying, “^aTo you I will give the land of Canaan,As the portion of your inheritance,”¹⁹^aWhen you were only a few men in number,Of little account, and sojourners in it,²⁰And they wandered about from nation to nation,And from one kingdom to another people,²¹He permitted no man to oppress them,And ^aHe reproved kings for their sakes,²²“Do not touch My anointed ones,And ^aagainst My prophets do no evil.”²³^aSing to Yahweh, all the earth;Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.²⁴Recount His glory among the nations,His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.²⁵For ^agreat is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised;And He is ¹^,^bmore ²fearsome than all gods.²⁶For all the gods of the peoples are ¹^,^aidols,^bBut Yahweh made the heavens.²⁷Splendor and majesty are before Him,Strength and joy are in His place.²⁸Ascribe to Yahweh, O families of the peoples,Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.²⁹Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;Lift up ¹an offering, and come before Him;^aWorship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness.³⁰Tremble before Him, all the earth;Indeed, the world is established, it will not be shaken.³¹^aLet the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;And let them say among the nations, “^bYahweh reigns.”³²^aLet the sea ¹roar, as well as its fullness;Let the field exult, and all that is in it.³³Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh;For He is coming to judge the earth.³⁴^aOh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good,For His lovingkindness endures forever.³⁵^aThen say, “Save us, O God of our salvation,And gather us and deliver us from among the nations,To give thanks to Your holy nameAnd revel in Your praise.”³⁶^aBlessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel,From everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people ^bsaid, “Amen,” and praised Yahweh.
