Romans 12:9-15

9Let alove be without hypocrisy—by babhorring what is evil, clinging to what is good, 10being adevoted to one another in brotherly love, 1giving preference to one another bin honor, 11not lagging behind in diligence, being afervent in spirit, bserving the Lord, 12arejoicing in hope, bpersevering in affliction, being cdevoted to prayer, 13acontributing to the needs of the 1saints, bpursuing hospitality.
14aBless those who persecute 1you; bless, and do not curse. 15aRejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep,

James 2:8-17

8If, however, you aare fulfilling the 1royal law according to the Scripture, “bYou shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9But if you ashow partiality, you are committing sin, being convicted by the 1law as transgressors. 10For whoever keeps the whole 1law and yet astumbles in one point, he has become bguilty of all. 11For He who said, “aDo not commit adultery,” also said, “bDo not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the 1law. 12So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by athe law of freedom. 13For ajudgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy 1triumphs over judgment.

Faith and Works

14aWhat use is it, bmy brothers, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can 1that faith save him? 15aIf a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16and one of you says to them, “aGo in peace, 1be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17Even so afaith, if it has no works, is 1dead by itself.

1 Peter 1:22

22Since you have ain obedience to the truth bpurified your souls for a love of the brothers cwithout hypocrisy, fervently love one another from 1the heart,

1 John 3:16-18

16By this we have known love, that aHe laid down His life for us; and bwe ought to lay down our lives for the cbrothers. 17But awhoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and bcloses his 1heart 2against him, chow does the love of God abide in him? 18aLittle children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and btruth.

Hebrews 6:10

10For aGod is not unrighteous so as to forget byour work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having cministered and continuing to minister to the 1saints.

Hebrews 13:1-3

Sacrifices Pleasing to God

13Let alove of the brothers continue. 2Do not neglect to ashow hospitality to strangers, for by this some have bentertained angels without knowing it. 3aRemember bthe prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you yourselves also are in the body.
